just had avast installed. Got tired of AVG slowing down my system. I have windows XP and jaws 10. How or should I say where is the option in avast to scan my whole computer? AVG had a menu where I could find the option to scan computer but I don't see that in avast. Any help is appreciated.

i'd get rid of avast too, it's just not good enough. flags viruses where there are none, and doesn't catch real ones if they are there.

I've had no problem with avast. I used to when it was being far too sensative about e-mail attachments, but not any more.

Have no desire using Avast.

oh, avast is really very good! i just use it with root jaws to PC by pressing insert+ num pad minus. on the avast user interface main window, there is a scan button.... press using the left mouse button (num pad /). thanks,

Avast was fired! in its place to protect my two computers I use AVG security sweet. Yappers I paid for it and will not ever go to a free antivirous selution.
